YOUNG GUNS IN VIC METRO SQUAD

Four WRFL young guns have been selected in the Vic Metro Under 19 National Championships squad ahead of their first game this weekend.

Laura Elliott (Werribee Districts, Point Cook), Krystal Russell (Yarraville Seddon Eagles), Caitlin Sargent (Caroline Springs, St Bernard’s) and Kiera Whiley (Caroline Springs) have been named in the extended squad.

All four stars have been playing with the Western Jets this season, with the Jets sitting in third spot, winning six of their seven games.

The Under 19 Championships commence this Sunday at Mars Stadium in Ballarat.
