WESTERN JETS SET FOR 2021 SEASON

Footy will return this weekend, with the Western Jets’ Under-19 Girls team kicking off the NAB League season with a game against the Eastern Rangers on Saturday.

Twenty-eight players from nine Western Region Football League clubs have earned a spot in the Jets’ extended squad for 2021.

Western Jets squad:

Altona Juniors: Hayley Baber, Maddison Tsaloumas, Ava Strathairn, Alana Anthony, Ciara Singleton

Caroline Springs: Stephanie Asciak, Kiera Whiley, Caitlin Sargent

Point Cook: Paige Ryan, Kym Bays

Point Cook Centrals: Laura Elliott

Spotswood: Jasmine Farrugia, Paige Trajkovski, Isabel Choate, Kristie-Lee Weston-Turner, Kasey Maddock, Emma Kiely, Mariam Kadour

Werribee Centrals: Nyanthier Malual, Marli Klaumanns-Moller

Werribee Districts: Camryn Tyrell, Lou-Lou Field, Kensley Ward, Sarah Golding

Williamstown Juniors: Sienna Cutajar, Macy Vicino

Yarraville Seddon Eagles: Sierra Grieves, Krystal Russell

Last season the Girls team managed to play three games before the season was cancelled due to Covid-19.

The 2021 season will begin earlier than last year so it is more aligned with the AFLW season.

The Western Jets take on the Eastern Rangers at Kilsyth Recreation Reserve at 12pm on Saturday.
