VALE VERN SMITHWICK

The Western Region Football League wishes sincere condolences to the Smithwick family after the passing of Vern Smithwick.

Smithwick was a dedicated member of the community. He was a member of the Seddon Football Club and the WRFL for many years. Smithwick was a former executive of the league and a tribunal board representative.

Smithwick was awarded Life Membership of the WRFL in 1979 and was presented with an AFL Victoria Recognition Award in 1993.

The league administration and the wider WRFL community’s thoughts are with the Smithwick family.
