The Wyndham Suns are firming as premiership favourites in Alan Mance Motors Division 3.

The Suns kept their unbeaten record intact after defeating the previously undefeated Cobras at Goddard Street Reserve on Saturday.

The top-of-the-table clash saw the Suns keep the Cobras to their lowest score of the season (41 points).

Two-time Division 3 Best and Fairest winner Todd Lawrie was in fine form, kicking three goals in the 12.6. (78) to Albanvale 6.5. (41) win.

The first half was the difference, with the Suns opening an 18-point lead at the first break. It was more of the same in the second term, with the Cobras restricted to just two goals to half time.

Albanvale fought back in the third term, but the Suns controlled the match, running out 37-point winners.

John Tomelty and Cameron Joyce both played well for the home side.

The Cobras will look to bounce back in Round 7 when they take on Laverton, while the Suns will go head-to-head with North Sunshine at Dempster Park.

Ryan Potter’s six goals helped steer Tarneit to their second win of the season at Laverton Park.

In one of their better performances of the season, the Titans increased their margin at every break, with the final margin being 74-points.

The margin could have been far greater if Tarneit kicked straight. The visitors had 31 scoring shots to seven.

Matt Ritchie and Jayden Osborne were among the best. For the home side, Liam Conway was listed as best on ground.

Finally, Ricky Howell and Keelan Privitera combined for 15 goals as Sunshine Heights outmuscled and outplayed North Sunshine at Ainsworth Reserve.

The Dragons, off the back of two straight losses, were determined to win from the opening bounce and won convincingly. The final margin was 124-points.

Sunshine Heights will next take on Braybrook, who will be fresh from the bye.
