A wayward-kicking Suns outfit held off a valiant Sunshine Heights by 44-points at Goddard Street Reserve in the Alan Mance Motors Division 3 competition.

It was the Dragons who started strongly, holding a six-point lead at the first break.

The Suns regrouped, putting together a dominant second quarter despite their inaccurate kicking on goal.

The ascendancy shifted again, with the Dragons bringing the margin down to 12-points at three quarter time.

For the visitors, Jeremy Angelowitsch was outstanding alongside a four-goal performance from Giovanni Raffaele.

On the other hand, Jordan Partridge was superb for the Magpies in defeat.

Laverton will travel to Braybrook next week, while Tarneit face the Cobras.
