Albanvale has appointed Amanda Quirk as a playing coach of its Senior Women’s team, joining Kon Konstantaras for the 2023 Victoria University Polytechnic season.

Quirk has had stints with Pascoe Vale, Airport West and Braybrook and is currently still involved, playing masters.

She has played more than 200 games of footy, has won two premierships and in 2019 was named in the EDFL Premier Team of the Year.

“I am very honoured to be a co-coach at Albanvale and work closely with Kon,” Quirk said.

“I have been around the game of football for a while, and I think I have picked up enough knowledge to pass on to the team.”

Albanvale had a joint team with Braybrook in 2022, but both clubs will be fielding separate teams next year.
