MOON BECOMES A HAWK

Glen Orden has appointed Phil Crea’s successor, announcing Nathan Moon will coach the Hawks in 2022.

Moon, a former WRFL player, arrives at the Hawks after being an assistant coach with the Uni Black Football Club in the VAFA this year.

“Glen Orden Sports Club are very excited to announce that we have appointed Nathan Moon as our Senior Coach for the 2022 season,” the announcement said.

“Nathan is a Level 2 AFL accredited coach and comes to us with an extensive coaching and playing background. His experience and knowledge will be of great benefit to us.”

Moon has been involved with several clubs across metropolitan Melbourne over the past eight years.

In 2020 he was involved with the Lower Plenty Football Club as the Under 19 coach, the previous year he was a Senior Assistant coach at Thomastown and has also been connected to the Doncaster Sharks, Watsonia Sporting Club, Coburg Development team and Collegians.

“Nathan is already bringing great energy with his plans for 2022 and is very excited to get started,” the club said.

“On behalf at everyone at Glen Orden we welcome Nathan to the Hawks family.”

Glen Orden finished the 2021 Prestige Group Real Estate Division 2 season in fifth place.
