E.J. WHITTEN FOUNDATION’S MEN’S HEALTH ROUND

The WRFL E.J. Whitten Foundation’s Men’s Health Round is back for another year.

This Saturday all WRFL senior players in Divisions 1, 2 and 3 will be wearing the E.J. Whitten Foundation arm tape to represent the 20,000 Australian men who are diagnosed with prostate cancer each year.

All senior teams playing in the E.J. Whitten Foundation’s Men’s Health Round will be presented with a best on ground medal.

A player from each team will also be presented with an E.J. Whitten Foundation’s Men’s Health Round medal. Click here to see previous medal winners.

This round is an excellent reminder that we all need to look after our health, whether it be mental or physical, and that checking in with mates is so important as it’s often the push from friends and family that result in action.

When was the last time you went to see a doctor?

Not all health issues have obvious symptoms, with many diagnosed with prostate cancer experiencing none at all. “Time to Test” advocates for regular blood testing to enable early diagnosis and give you the best outlook.

If you can’t remember the last time you went to see a doctor or ‘too busy’ and ‘it’s not that bad’ are common justifications for you, then it’s time to test.  To find a doctor near you click here
