The Western Region Football League together with the wider football community will recognise the importance of Umpires this weekend, as we celebrate 2019 Community Umpiring Week.

The annual event is aimed to acknowledge the terrific work goal, field and boundary umpires do every week.

The round is supported by the AFL and is designed to help teach the footy world about the roles and responsibilities of umpires as well as remind all players, supporters, coaches and parents to take responsibility of their behaviour on match day.

Community Umpire Round is also another opportunity to encourage those who want to be involved in the sport, to take up umpiring.
