THE Altona Football Club will host a gala dinner at the MCG this Saturday as the club kicks-off its 100th anniversary celebrations.

About 350 guests, some of which have travelled from interstate, will come together to mark their centenary.

Richmond legend Kevin Bartlett will MC the event.

Over the past year a group of past players have also came together to put together a Team of the Century. Players selected in the team will be presented with a jumper to commemorate the occasion.

Altona’s Life Members will also be recognised.

The gala dinner is just the start of Altona’s celebrations this year. The clubrooms at Grant Reserve have recently been refurbished with a number of events planned to unveil the rooms.

Altona will also host its annual ‘Adrian Beckwith Memorial Golf Day’ on March 2nd. For more information on this event, please visit the AltonaFC Facebook page.
