ALBANVALE ANNOUNCE CO-COACHES

The Albanvale Football Club has announced Dean Formosa will join Andrew Bryson as co-coach of the Senior side.

Bryson has coached the Cobras since 2019, but will be joined by long-time friend, Formosa for the 2022 Alan Mance Motors Division 3 season.

“Dean is a great clubman, he was one my many reasons why I came back to Albanvale and can’t wait to share a new experience with him,” Bryson said.

“Coaching him at a junior level and watching him progress as a senior player and now giving him his first taste of coaching I couldn’t be any more proud of him.

“A big reason I came back to Albanvale is the people, it’s a great family club, lots of great supporters, a playing group who is striving for success. To have players like Dean and others who want to always get the very best of themselves is pleasing and I want to be a part of their growth that’s what makes a good football club.”

Formosa, who is Albanvale’s game record-holder, said he was excited to begin his coaching career alongside a great mate.

“I’m eager to start, it’s been a flat few months without footy and can’t wait for the season to begin,” he said.

“I have been lucky to have good coaches in my time and I’ll definitely use their experience within my coaching.

“I believe we have a great mix of players currently, we would like to add the best talent we can and some youth who want to take the next step and be permanent senior players. I’ll strive to get the best out of our players for them to reach personal and team goals.”

Albanvale finished the 2021 Alan Mance Motors Division 3 season in second spot.
