LOYAL LEADER REACHES 450 GAMES

Albanvale’s Dean Formosa will this Saturday don the Cobras jumper for the 450th time.

The loyal club man has been involved with the Albanvale Football Club for the past 25 years.

Formosa began his footy career at the age of six, with his passion for footy and the Cobras never wavering.

He has seen many achievements along the way, having been involved in two premierships, a Reserves flag in 2010 and the Division 3 premiership in 2015.

The Albanvale Life Member won the 2011 Reserves Best and Fairest and was this year given the honour of captaining the senior side.

Club Administrator Adam Borg said Formosa had played a major role for Albanvale during his tenure at Robert Bruce Reserve, saying his commitment, loyalty, courage and leadership is always valued.

On Saturday, he will be cheered on the sidelines by his wife Eva and two sons Nate and Dane.

Albanvale take on West Footscray at Robert Bruce Reserve on Saturday. The Seniors start at 2.15pm.
