SOCKIT2MND – A FIGHTMND CAMPAIGN

THE WRFL will this year be supporting FightMND’s new Sockit2MND campaign, a new initiative which will see football and netball associations across Victoria wear Big Freeze socks.

Players will wear the coloured socks on a dedicated round on June 16 and 17, the weekend after FightMND’s annual Big Freeze event.

The aim of the round is to raise awareness and vital funds for research into finding a treatment and ultimately finding a cure for Motor Neurone Disease.

Clubs are also encouraged to hold a cake stall, a sausage sizzle or even do your own version of the ice bucket challenge.

The WRFL, along with AFL Victoria are encouraging your club to head to the FightMND website to register your interest.  Click here for more information.

*Please note that you have until Friday, February 9 to order socks via the Fight MND website.
